Recently nuphory started a youtube channel for posting hypertrance music, and is trying to build a community off of the hypertrance genre.

I think it is beautiful music. This is one she made:

I am really happy to see this thread here. the hypertrance community is really important to me as well as the art and music and I am always really proud to be a part of it. maybe I will share some of my hypertrance art here more in the future,

the volume 2 compilation is one of my favourite projects i have ever been a part of. I made the visuals for the song Twilight and my girlfriend and I collabed for the visuals for Wait for Me... a lot of friends made some of the songs and visuals too. the premiere was a really magical moment for me ;w; I hope I can make many more videos like these.

I've never been a part of a music community as I kind of dance all around, but this is super duper cool! def adding to my playlist. I think that the music has an amazing sound and vibe and I'm excited to hear more! joking a little, it kind of reminds me of the music of run 3, which is not negative in any light as I listen to that sound track in my free time lol! It is INCREDIBLE that some people here have worked on it, and I'm really happy u gained that euphoria from it! keep on creating man!! :DDD

very open BPM range (135-180)
high energy in the drops
big 4x4 trance drums
tight mixing
strong emphasis on emotional impact (chord progs, "epic" sounds)
grand storytelling in the tracks
emotional, quieter (maybe piano driven) breakdowns
heavy emphasis on using authentic feeling sounds
capturing the optimstic futurism of y2k

I think the main thing is that it's reviving trance as a genre and ethos but with more modern production values + generally more, like, fast paced. It's generally shorter songs with less buildup.

The other thing that I think defines "hypertrance" is that it's as much a community as it is a music genre, there's a whole group of us who spend time in the Hypertrance discord server, and we spend time not just creating music- some people active in the community like myself are not musicians- but also creating y2k-inspired visual art and animation. So we're all brought together by a general love of 2000s music and visual art, but also a desire to create stuff that is inspired by but also innovates on it.
