If I have a studio space, it's definitely there. Love having a place to work.

lately, it's the local boba shop. They sell lots of quick foods in there too, musubi, fried rice, garlic chicken, etc. Nice to get a cup of boba and a quick bite, sit outside in the sun, and walk around.

MeowWolf! Any of them, I want to just submerge myself in that place 24/7 and live in that amount of creativity and exploration. It gives me so much inspiration ^^

i can't think of much in real life, i don't get out much so that's probably why.. i guess what i can think of in real life is not specific places so much as things i can do outside, or something. i like going on a walk at night, and i like being driven around at night, especially if it's cold. i guess this paints me as a real night owl.. i do like morning and daytime, but i prefer night-time for going outside, because there's a good atmosphere and you won't be distracted by heat or bugs.

digital spaces are easier to think of.. i guess video games is my simplest and broadest but also most accurate answer. video games will often have good atmosphere to just exist and move around in, even if you aren't doing anything particularly exciting. some highlights for games i've enjoyed 'being in' are terraria, slime rancher, and toontown... i would classify the games listed as places to 'be in' because of the way you're able to interact with the environment - a place you can run around and explore sort of absentmindedly. it's better the more interesting movement mechanics you have.

my favorite would have to be minecraft though, in several different forms. server hubs, like hypixel lobbies or that of the now-dead mineplex, are very fun to move around in and explore. often, when i join up with my friends to play minigames on these servers, messing around in the lobbies and talking will take priority over doing what we even came there to do. i specifically want to mention though..

minecraft in it's older versions - alpha, beta, early release, etc., really does feel different from current minecraft. there's so much less to do and to see. you move so slowly, too, and so many little things that smooth the playing process are gone. there's less creatures, less structures. an emptier world. it's not worse than current minecraft, it's just a whole different experience. it feels more like somewhere to exist in than a game to 'play', i guess, even though it definitely is a game. i guess it's more of a sandbox, there's less game progression and what's there feels more optional. there's the music, too - i don't often play with the minecraft music on in newer versions of minecraft, but in old versions it feels almost like a crime to turn it off. i can't really say it's quiet because there's sound effects (and they are usually way too loud heheh, especially walking on grass), but the impression it gives me when i think of it is one that's empty and quiet, especially when the music is gone and you're waiting for it to fade back in. anyway it's awesome

i actually don't know if these really fit the bill of 'cool places to be' but there's my picks and most of my reasoning. i don't get out much and am usually not big on scenery so i don't really have a specific outdoor 'spot', but everything everyone listed sounded nice. i'd like to visit one of the meow wolf locations someday
