Made a playlist of hacks and mods that are pretty much their own games/experiences that use the existing game as a framework! I adore this kind of stuff so let me know if there’s any more that I should add!

As much as myhouse.wad is a really, REALLY good piece of horror, I would honestly say that it's just not its own thing, because its whole identity absolutely cannot be separated from Doom and its community.

I agree with fyter, myhouse is phenomenal but cannot really be separated from doom itself. However if I may make a suggestion...!

Megaman 8bit deathmatch is built with the doom engine, but is very much its own game! It has its own story mode, the ability to customize your own player avatar, and lots of community made content! Cannot recommend this enough, especially if you're a fan of classic megaman! I need to get back into playing it myself lol

In a similar vein to Doom mods that are also fangames - Sonic Robo Blast 2 and its sub-mod, SRB2 Kart! They're a lot more well known than Megaman 8-Bit Deathmatch admittedly but. Still
