chibifur is a distinctly contemporary endeavor, kawaii and its subcultures arent older than the 70s, my little pony is from the 80s as well, so, in this thread, i want to ask the question, what are some chibifurs of the past?
of course, an easy answer to this would be the work of Louis Wain, with his cute and chubby kittens, he certainly came close to the modern renditions of the idea, with him doing more abstract work as well (sparklecats!), however, he is not the only one to do this, and i want to investigate it with yall!
