i remember liking the show as a kid, though the lps created to be similar to the show were a bit rough to say the least. i have an orange collie from this period and while i love her like the rest of the lps in my collection, but the exaggerated proportions and detailed eyes worked much better in the series than irl. in the show, the proportions (of the pets, can't remember much about the humans lol) stand out from one another and the eyes (alongside other art direction-related factors, such as the fact that i'm pretty sure it was the only show on the hub with a lineless style?) help with giving the show's art direction a unique identity from the other shows on the network.
basically, i liked the show for the most part but the designs there worked a lot better in 2d than 3d, and that was mostly seen in the toys made during the time.
