wanted to make a thread 4 fav (or most recently caught) shiny pokemon ^.^

thought it was different enough from the 'fav pokemon' thread to make bc i have some fav shinies that arent my top favorite regular pokemon y'know!

ill start off with my favs :)c

jolteon! a kinda underrated eeveelution member, i used to be a bit neutral to its shiny but it slowly grew on me over the years! also its gen3 sprite goes hard

AAHHH reuniclus, its so cool, cant go wrong with a blue shiny ~.~ also stunfisk!!! so cool

(trying not to add so many to my list but)
spinda!!!!!! so green and cool

okok last one! spinarak! (+ araidos) they both look like candies

and my most recent catch is an orbeetle after 1294 RE! shes so pretty ^.^!! (my next hunt is gonna be for a Sneasel >:3)

i have an on-and-off dreepy egg hunt in shield that iirc is on its way to becoming double odds. lately riding my bike in circles has been making me motion sick

so i've been on a break from it. i've also done a couple hundred resets for shiny lugia in soul silver but i lost track of my encounters which deflated my excitement a bit. i want to get back to it though!

i don't know if i have a favorite shiny but my favorite pokémon's shiny is honestly really great. maractus and shiny maractus holding hands forever and ever, i should hunt one someday.

OH YEAH and re: your favorites i would say green shinies are so underrated =) also the blue on reuniclus is lovely, and congrats on the beetle friend!

I don't know if I have a favorite, but my most recent catch was a Shroomish in Alpha Sapphire because I was grinding for a good IV catcher mon. I really wanted to catch a shiny Giratina back in high school, but I never ended up catching it. Legends say my Platinum save file is still sitting in front of its overworld sprite.

My first Shiny (other than the red Gyraados) was a shiny Foongus in White. I didn't even realize it was shiny, I thought it was a great ball variant. IIRC it was the second Foongus I ran into, so it wasn't a horrible observation.

My very first shiny was a Shiny Claydol back in Pokemon Emerald :3

At the top of my head my fav would have to be Shiny Nidorino

My recently caught shinies were in Pokemon Legends Arceus :3 a Shiny Bronzong named Malachite and a shiny Ambipom named Bonzi Buddy

i havent found a shiny pokemon in a game since i was 12 (it was either my shiny altaria or shiny vulby, both in black version)

but i have on and off since i was 11 been searching for a shiny mincinno (in the same game of course) which is one of my favorite shinies

i'm also a hugeee fan of shiny umbreon, black and light/glowing blue is such a peak vibe!

of course, probably my ultimate fave at least for the moment is shiny dragonair! though that might be bias because i used to go by pinkdragon everywhere online lol

my immediate favs are shiny blacephalon, espeon, heracross, ampharos, and furret! i just love super bold and saturated shinies with good color harmony. the blacephalon especially reminds me of classic older webpages, from the bright deep blue html links and backgrounds that those usually had, and it being one of my favorite pokemon ever really puts it over the top. meanwhile the shiny espeon personally reminds me of the green (and snot variant) aisha neopet, so it's another case of paired nostalgia for me. the last three are ones i saw pretty recently from friends sharing their catches in scarlet and violet, but they near immediately won me over with their pretty pinks and purple palettes!
